Fire Damage Restoration in Massachusetts

Fire damage rarely stays contained to where the fire actually was — smoke and soot spread through HVAC systems and settle into materials well beyond the immediate area, and water from firefighting efforts adds a second layer of damage on top. US Pro Paint & Renovation provides fire damage restoration across the South Shore, Greater Boston, and Cape Cod, handling the full process from emergency response through structural rebuilding.

We work directly with insurance companies to document damage and support your claim throughout the restoration process.

Signs You Need Professional Fire Damage Restoration

  • Any fire, even a small one, since smoke and soot damage often extends well beyond the flame itself.
  • Persistent smoke odor that doesn’t resolve with basic airing out or cleaning.
  • Visible soot on walls, ceilings, or belongings.
  • Water damage from firefighting efforts, which needs its own remediation alongside fire damage repair.
  • Structural damage to framing, drywall, or other building materials.

What Affects Fire Damage Restoration Cost

  • Extent of fire damage — a contained, minor fire costs far less to restore than damage affecting multiple rooms.
  • Smoke and soot spread — damage that traveled through HVAC systems can affect areas beyond the fire’s origin.
  • Secondary water damage — firefighting water adds its own remediation cost on top of fire damage repair.
  • Structural involvement — damage reaching framing or load-bearing elements requires more extensive rebuilding.
  • Insurance coverage — coverage varies by policy; we help document damage to support your claim regardless of outcome.

Why Choose Us for Fire Damage Restoration

  • Full restoration, not just cleanup — we handle structural rebuilding after fire damage, not just surface cleaning.
  • Insurance claim support — thorough documentation and direct coordination with insurance companies.
  • Understanding of secondary damage — water from firefighting, smoke spread through HVAC, and other damage beyond the visible fire area.
  • 24/7 emergency response for active situations.
  • Licensed, insured, and experienced across 23+ years of construction and restoration work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pressure washing uses high water pressure alone, which can strip paint, force water behind siding, and damage shingles. Soft washing uses low pressure combined with cleaning solutions that break down mold and algae without that risk.

Yes — it’s specifically designed to be safer than pressure washing for roofs, since high pressure can dislodge granules and shorten shingle life.

Most homes benefit from soft washing every 1–2 years, more often in shaded or humid areas prone to algae growth.

Yes — we recommend it as standard prep, since paint adheres better to a clean surface, and it’s part of our exterior painting process.

We take care to protect plants and landscaping during application, including pre-rinsing vegetation when needed.

JR and his team installed a custom kitchen island and coffee stand/cabinet for me. JR did a great job of helping me to maximize my space (which is smaller than ideal for what I was seeking). He was patient with my lack of knowledge around the work itself and was able to transform my very layman's vision into something real. He and his team were polite, professional, respectful, and incredibly quick to complete the job. I absolutely love my island and coffee corner and would recommend US Propaint & Renovation without hesitation!

JR and his team came in to remove an existing rear deck and replace it with an expanded composite deck. My wife and I are very happy with the project! It looks great and is very solid construction. All of his team were careful and professional and did a great job removing the old deck, recasting new foundation piers and installing the new deck, trim and railings. JR was very thoughtful during our initial discussions and came up with some very creative ideas to resolve some issues. The work was completed in a timely manner. Once they started they did not stop, except for inclement weather. They did an outstanding job of final clean-up and removed debris from the work area nearly every day. When they left they replaced all the furniture exactly as it was when they started. We look forward to working with JR and his team again.

JR and his team were professional , knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with on my project. It took me a year to look for a place to have my stairs built, and it was worth the wait. I would recommend them highly.

JR was extremely courteous and professional to work with. His crew arrived early each day and worked full days sanding, doing carpentry work, and exterior painting of our home. The crew was polite and always considerate of how they left the property each day. We will certainly use them again for other projects. We could not recommend them more highly. The house looks great; thanks JR and crew! As of November, 2022 US Pro Paint and Renovation has done incredible work on our home again renovating our kitchen and doing a complete redo of our bathroom. We were just as happy with this project as we were with their work on previous projects. We benefited from quality work, skilled workers, and tremendous oversight by JR. Our home was respected by everyone who worked on this project. We are again very pleased with their work.

We hired JR and US Propaint for bathroom remodel based on several neighbors positive experience with exterior house painting. We were not sure how they were on renovations since the recommendations were based on their painting results. We were not disappointed, JR was extremely responsive to us and was a pleasure to work with. JR provided some great advice on some of our renovation challenges. Once we completed our guest bathroom in April we immediately got on his schedule for our master bathroom which was just finished this week. So two major "to the studs" projects in this year and we are extremely pleased with results. Much more than a painting contractor!

JR and his crew were very responsive, professional and hardworking. They did a great job prepping before painting, carpentry repairs and painting the exterior of my home. His price was very fair. I would definitely call him for other work in the future and recommend him to others.

JR and his crew did a wonderful job painting the exterior of our house. There was quite a bit of carpentry needed to replace rotten shingles and corner boards, and they took no shortcuts. The crew was extremely hard working, professional, and had excellent attention to detail. JR also addressed any questions I had immediately. I strongly recommend!

We hired Jr and crew to repaint the exterior of our house and garage, fix and paint our rotted front steps, and paint our back deck. Crew was very professional and everything came out great. Definitely would recommend and use again!
